Thinking of Edinburgh?
Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and a cultural hub of the world. The Royal Medical Society has long ties with Edinburgh’s history and many names associated with “medicine in Edinbugh” have associations with the RMS too.
The RMS shares many close ties with the University of Edinburgh, especially the medical school, however we are not directly affiliated with it.
In the first two years, most of your teaching is based in the Teviot Building, just off Bristo Square. The RMS is ideally placed for these students as it is directly opposite the main teaching centres.
In later years, clinical teaching moves to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to the south of the city, or to the Western General Hospital: both of which are supplied with fantastic bus links from the RMS.

In the summer, Edinburgh is host to a number of festivals, including the world famous Edinburgh Fringe and the rooms of the Royal Medical Society are involved with this.
